The Cayman Pond - Page 4 of 7

The Construction of a Koi Pond in the Cayman Islands -
Jan - Aug 2002

PAGE 4 of 7

As you will have seen - the pond is now really beginning to take shape and other features can be added which all contribute to a more pleasing effect .. the wooden pergola type of construction over the top of the filtration area - which were painted white which was in keeping with the surrounding buildings - really sets the work off to its best...

Below shows the inside of the filtration area - and again the Coral Rock wall feature was extending into this area to provide continuance of design ... these were taken prior to the wood being painted white ..

The whole of the floor and other woodwork was in fact painted white - this was not only in keeping with the overall design but also provided a nice clean look to the whole area ... and is always worth a consideration when you are thinking about building something of this nature...  The Return pipework can been seen through the walls...

The next section is when I suddenly appear having travelled half way around the world to be greeted to temperatures in the high 90's - to start to apply the P1 Sealant to the inside walls of the pond....
